Q102 January 23rd 1985

The launch of Dublin pirate Q102 from January 23rd 1985. There are some test transmissions from the afternoon and evening time.
Then at 7pm Lawrence John introduces the station and Jason Maine spins the discs in his own inimitable style.
Later John Kenny was in the studio and we also have recordings from his show.

Dublin’s AM Number 1 January 27th 1985

This is a short clip of the city-centre-based station Dublin’s AM Number 1 from the afternoon of January 27th 1985. It is recorded off 963kHz and although the quality isn’t great, it’s worth a listen. Brian Kelly is the presenter.
