
Donegal station Northside Radio was a result of a split in the Radio North camp following the mass pirate closedowns at the end of 1988.
This recording is from January 20th 1989 and starts at 9.20am. John Watt is on the air from 10am and he’s followed at 1pm by ‘DJ Wes’ running through to 4pm. It was taken from their 846kHz medium wave outlet.
The newspaper clipping on the right is from the Donegal Democrat from January 20th 1989 and gives a little background to the station.
