The launch of Dublin pirate Q102 from January 23rd 1985. There are some test transmissions from the afternoon and evening time. Then at 7pm Lawrence John introduces the station and Jason Maine spins the discs in his own inimitable style. Later John Kenny was in the studio and we also have recordings from his show.

From October 9th 1987 this is the Dublin love songs station Cara 95FM. This recording features Chris Martin on the air from midnight; and then later the breakfast programme with Lawrence John. Cara 95 was a short-lived rebrand of Heartbeat FM.
Recorded off 103.7MHz, this is Monaghan’s super station Kiss FM with John Friday in the hot seat on November 15th 1988.
