Armagh Resistance Radio

Armagh Resistance Radio

Armagh Resistance Radio, with Republican allegiances, first appeared just before Christmas 1971. It was a mobile station making it difficult to detect by the British Army and Post Office engineers. Along with playing requests for Republican prisoners they also offered advice to listeners about the ‘Rent and Rates’ strike, which was an act of resistance to British rule.
