BLANCHARDSTOWN COMMUNITY RADIO


Blanchardstown Community Radio was a pirate station which first appeared on August 7th 1983.

BCR was set up by Mike Ryan, using his studio gear and Jimmy Smith, using a rig from Treble TR.

The station was based above Justin’s shop on Main Street, Blanchardstown. It broadcast on 240m MW.

It stopped broadcasting in January 1985 when the rig went on fire.
