CORK BROADCASTING COMPANY
Cork Broadcasting Company appeared on 230 metres in January 1978. Ran by Dan Walsh (DJ Daniel) and Stevie Bolger, CBC was located in a warehouse on St Patrick’s Quay.
In July 1978, Bolger, unhappy with the station’s non-stop music output, left to form Alternative Broadcasting Cork.
CBC was raided on September 13th 1978, as was Bolger’s station. They were back on air within 24 hours but were gone by the end of the year.
