Nu.Wave Radio was the name of 2003’s temporarily-licensed station from Ballyfermot College, in west Dublin. The station came on air on March 31st on 97.3MHz and ran for a week.

The purpose of Nu.Wave was to provide students at the college with an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of radio and gain hands-on experience in running a radio station.

It was a music-based station with talk show programmes – Talk/Music ratio was 65%-35%. There was hourly news, weather and traffic bulletins with shows on entertainment, specialist music, magazine shows, home-grown talent.
