In September 1984 continuous music tests were broadcast on 1116kHz in Dublin. A number given out on air invited listeners to phone in with reception reports. Callers were informed that the station was broadcasting from Parnell St in the city centre and was to be called Kiss Computer Station.
Test continued for a few weeks and at one point old (Nova) Kiss FM jingles were heard. At launch in October 1984 it identfied as Kiss AM and FM and continued playing the old Kiss jingles.
