RADIO CAROLINE DUBLIN
Radio Caroline Dublin began life as Eastside, which was based in Monkstown and launched in July 1978 on 225metres. It lasted just a few weeks before being forced to close due to TV interference.
On relocation to Santry it changed name to North Dublin Radio broadcasting on 199metres / 1525kHz.
In March 1979 it changed name again, this time to Radio Caroline Dublin. After experimenting with different frequencies, by October 1979 it had settled on 220m / 1358kHz.
Station owner was Paul Stewart and Peter King.
