Capital Radio Limerick was a short-lived pirate radio station which launched on June 19th 1978 from studios on Upper Castle St.
It was ran by Eddie McGuire and Gerry McNamara. On-air presenters included Bernard Rooney, Frank Murray, Gerry Barry, Dave Gaynor and Eugene Hanley.
The station was raided at the end of July, and three months later they decided to call it a day in the hope of securing a licence.
