City Broadcasting Service

CITY BROADCASTING SERVICE

City Broadcasting Service was a Limerick pirate which was on air in 1934. Operated by Jim O’Carroll, who himself had constructed the transmitter, the station became known in Limerick as ‘the Pirate Radio’.

Jim called himself Billy Dynamite on air, usually joined by Al Dubbin for their usual broadcast hours of 7-11pm.

The station was eventually raided.
