Independent Radio Longford

IRL, or Independent Radio Longford, was on air for three years when a new broadcasting act forced all the pirates off the air on December 1988.

Music was mainly MOR and pop, with some country music programmes airing off peak.

Frequencies were 99FM; 101FM; 347mtrs MW

The station was founded by Gerry Conboy.
