Walk in My Shoes Radio (WIMS FM) is Ireland’s only radio station that is dedicated solely to the promotion of positive mental health. Run by St Patrick’s Mental Health Services during World Mental Health Week each October, WIMS FM broadcasts over 70 hours of live shows from a pop-up studio at St Patrick’s University Hospital.
WIMS FM is anchored by a host of mental health advocates, celebrity ambassadors and well-known presenters. Listeners can tune in on FM radio across Ireland or online at walkinmyshoes.ie
On air in 2014 and 2015 as Upbeat On Air, the station changed name for its 2016 broadcast, which came live from St Patrick’s Mental Health Services in St James Street in Dublin from 10th – 14th October.
The station was on air in Dublin, Cork, Galway, Wicklow, Waterford, Louth, Kildare & Cavan, and was also available online.
In 2018 frequencies were Dublin 105.2MHz; Cork 106.7MHz; Clare 105.5MHz; and Galway 87.7MHz.
Presenters included RTÉ 2FM’s Jenny Greene, Stephen Byrne and Blathnaid Treacy, social media star James Patrice, TV Presenter Maia Dunphy and comedian Alison Spittle.
