ROYAL COUNTY RADIO


Royal County Radio were an 80s pirate station based in Navan, Co Meath. The station first appeared toward the end of 1982 and broadcast mainly on 355m MW and was also on FM.

Among the presenters were Don Allan. Big Al, Fab Olly, Lynsey Shelbourne, Lane Martel, Ian Scott, Derek Flood and Raymond Cullen. Newsreader was John Stevens .

Rotal County Radio had problems in Spring 1984 when many presenters left to join Cavan Community Radio. They closed not long afterwards.
