CENTRE RADIO

Centre Radio broadcast to Clonmel, in Co Tipperary. It launched in March 1986 and was operated by Paul Byrne and Eoin Ryan, who both came from CBC.

Paul and Eoin were looking for a more youthful sound so they launched Centre Radio from a studio in Abbey St, Clonmel, and later from the Old Clonmel Chemical factory on the Old Waterford road.

After it closed the people behind the station launched Premier County Radio a few months later.
