Dublin’s FM band was very bare this afternoon with a whole host of stations off the air from about 1.30pm, mainly due to power cuts at their transmitter sites caused by adverse weather conditions.

Amongst those off air were K.I.C. FM, Radio Dublin, Power FM, Radio Caroline Dublin, Kiss FM, Mater Hospital Radio and DMR FM.

Some stations were still on but not on all frequencies – ESG were off on 94.1, Hot Radio were off on 99.1, LMFM were off on 95.5 and East Coast Radio were off on 94.9. CKR were also off air on 97.6MHz.

Stations started reappearing from about 5pm.

Comment: The ODTR must have been doing a few rain-dances last night!
