THE MIDNIGHT HOUR

So, on what day does midnight fall? There was certainly a lot of confusion in December 1988 which led to some of the stations that closed on the 30th definitively stating that the new legislation would become law on the 31st -which seems very arbitrary. The first day of a new year makes so much more sense.

Part 5 of this Radiowaves News Special starts with a whole host of stations who were scheduled to close at midnight on the 30th. Or was it the 31st….
