At 6pm Éamon Carr presents Carr’s Cocktail Shack
The show is a celebration of lounge and cocktail jazz from across the decades and features the ‘Cocktail de Jour’ – Éamon’s own choice of cocktail, which he then makes live on air each week! Presenter Éamon Carr says, “My wish is to present some music that is largely ignored by contemporary music criticism. I would like to share some tunes that may (or may not) evoke lava lamps, fishnet stockings, faux rabbit-pelt bar stools and the psycho-sexual boom boom experienced by the desk clerk in the motel, the one with the pink and blue neon, at the end of Lonely Street. It may be termed easy, but the beat goes on. Oh, and along the way, we’ll explore the coolest way to kick-start a party – cocktails.”
From 7pm it’s Sunday Jazz with Des Fitzgerald
From 9pm Chris Young is on air
Finally at 11pm Kevin Branigan wraps up the temporary run
