This is a recording of Walkinstown Local Radio from the afternoon of May 12th 2000 with some rare live programming from around 3pm. The unnamed presenter switched on the mic without announcement or fanfare following a long run of automation on 92.4MHz in Dublin.

Chris Murray: Paddy Muldowney was his name, he may have used Dave King on air. He died a few years ago, I remember the house it came from at Landsdowne valley in Drimnagh, My mother listened to it as she loved his Music & him reading the newspapers. I remember listening to him one day and he was looking for listeners to help pay for a leaky roof and if it wasn’t fixed he’d have to close the station, He was giving out a bank of Ireland account number that listeners could donate to, a few weeks later he got the roof fixed and a holiday to Spain :() :() Station was off the air for the two weeks
