This is a recording of the Cavan-based pirate station Erneside Radio from July 8th 1985. It starts at 10am with ‘Jacko’ spinning the discs. It is slightly edited but is a great sample of the station’s output.
A recording of The Boss on Radio Nova. Presenting the Euro Top 40 on July 14th 1985, this is Chris Cary with the best five from 3.40pm. There’s also a brief snippet of the 4pm news with Bernie Jameson.
This recording is from the shortwave pirate station Radio Rainbow International, which was based in Co Louth. First we hear from Ian Scott, who is followed by Heady Eddie. This was taken from 6240kHz and starts at midday on July 21st 1985.

Featuring a pair of mid-morning presenters conjuring up some very enjoyable radio, this is a recording of the Radio Nova spin-off station Magic 103 with the indisputable and much-missed talents of Peter Madison and Bob Gallico. The date is July 22nd 1985 and the tape started rolling at 10am.

From July 31st 1985 this is a recording of Sybil Fennell on the Dublin station Magic 103, from the Chris Cary stable.
The recording off 103.5MHz starts from the end of the 6pm News. Then, following an hour of easy listening music, the main News with Dave Johnson and Mark Weller is at 7pm before Sybil launches ‘The Classical Hour’.
