This is a recording of Radio Nova made off long wave in January 1986. Nova had been sporadically relaying their usual programming on 254kHz for just over a month but on January 28th they broadcast split programming in the afternoon. Chris Barry was on the longwave service playing ‘country’ music favourites, which reunited with the main service for the news broadcasts, read by Sybil Fennell.
At 6pm the long wave transmitter resumed the relay of standard programming.
