Radio Caroline Cork

Radio Caroline Cork was a very long-running station which first appeared as a test transmission in September 1980 using the name Red City Radio. These tests continued on a nightly basis on 98.8MHz FM until May 22nd 1981 when the station launched under the name Radio Caroline Cork.
Transmission times were increased over the following months and they eventually added a medium wave transmitter on 253metres.
