Radiowaves.FM - A tribute site to Irish Radio

Dreamtime Radio

Dreamtime Radio broadcast on 90.9MHz FM for five years under a licence from the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland. The broadcasts were specifically for SOS Dreamtime and so were limited in range. The licence was granted in April 2012 and this followed a successful temporary licence run in 2010.

The station provided training and support for people with learning disabilities to broadcast on the radio.  The broadcasting times were from 10am to 4pm every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. The shows were live for the most part but some were pre-recorded often to facilitate large speech programmes and for DJ’s who find live broadcasts difficult.

There were daily news bulletins which were pre-recorded each morning and played on the hour throughout the day.
