Dublin’s Coast FM was the forerunner of what became Phantom FM. In this guise, the alternative music station was on air for 4½ years.
Coast FM closed at 7pm on the evening of February 4th 1996. They took the decision due to lack of direction and commercial breakthrough.
The station’s final broadcast frequency was 105.4MHz.
Coast were on 103.2MHz for a period. This was a relay from Stillorgan. The main transmitter was on Three Rock Mountain.
Coast used the facilities of former pirate NSR
