Ballinasloe Community Radio returned to air today at 5pm with ‘Daily Edition’, presented by station manager Declan Finn. This is the fifth year running that Ballinasloe Community Radio has aired during the Ballinasloe International Horse Festival, the oldest Horse Festival in Europe.
Broadcasting on 102.8MHz FM to what’s deemed “the east Galway Capital”, the station provides a mixture of news, information and music programming typical of a licensed community radio station. This year, the station will also include a Polish programme for the town’s immigrant population.
Ballinasloe Community Radio is based in “d’Cube” youth cafe at Marina Point and is funded by Galway Youth Federation and the Ballinasloe International Horse Fair and Show.
Broadcasts continue from 5pm to 11pm nightly, with programmes running at weekends from 9am to 3pm, until Sunday October 8th.
