Life FM first appeared as a temporarily-licensed station in March 2004 on 107.2MHz FM.
The station were later awarded a full five year licence and now broadcast on 93.1MHz after their launch in March 2008.

Life FM, a new temporarily-licensed religious radio station, took to the airwaves in Cork city at 10am this morning. Broadcasting on 107.2MHz FM, the station is operating from studios and a transmitter located at a premises on Togher Road in the southern city. Life FM is run by volunteers and will broadcast on a weekend basis over the next few weeks. Describing itself as a non-denominational Christian station, Life FM has already received funding from churches.
Both this week and next week Life FM is scheduled to air on Saturday only, but for the four weeks following that the station will broadcast on both Saturday and Sunday.
