Glasgow’s Beat 106 are launching a new marketing campaign in an attempt to change the public’s perception about the station. Still considered a specialist dance music station by many, Beat 106 are hoping to ram home the message that their peak-time output is of a mainstream nature. The campaign, aimed at the 15-34 age group, is entitled “Demand Better Music Right Now’ and features taglines such as “I’m not doing any more work until I hear Black Eyed Peas, Coldplay & Pink” and “I’m not getting a round in unless I hear Eminem, the Red Hot Chili Peppers & Kylie”.
