Clare FM win award

Clare FM has picked up another Radio award, this time at the Dundee Celtic International Film and Television festival.
“Living with Dara”, which was produced by Paula Carroll and edited by Tracey Moloney, took the award in the Radio documentary section in a field that included entries from a number of BBC and IBA stations in Britain.
The programme tells the story of a young autistic boy, Darragh Whelan, and his mother who are natives of Scariff in county Clare.
Producer Paula Carroll says its a huge honour to win an award at such a prestigious event. She also picked up the BCI’s new adventures in broadcasting award along with the PPI’s radio documentary award.
Clare FM’s chief executive Liam O’Shea says the station made quite an impression on the judges who described it as the smallest station with the biggest impact.
Last month producer Mark Dunphy took home three advertising awards in the Retail, Greenhorn, and Motor Categories.
