Raidió Corca Baiscinn

Ten more years for two community stations

Two community radio stations have signed new ten year sound broadcasting contracts with the BCI. Both Raidió Corca Baiscinn (South West Clare Community Radio) and Tipperary Mid West Radio previously held five year contracts with the Commission and these new contracts will facilitate the long term development of the services.

The station will broadcast from 10am–1pm and from 6pm-9pm Monday to Friday and 2pm-5pm on Saturday and Sunday. The station will broadcast 50% music and 50% speech.

Tipperary Mid-West Community Radio (104.8MHz FM) will provide the local community of South West Tipperary with music programmes, sports coverage, current affairs, news and religious programmes. The service will broadcast from 8am-12pm Monday – Sunday. The station will broadcast 55% music and 45% speech.
